Robert Lights Up The Stage In PRISM

"Lindsay is magnetic...[he] is amazing to watch...a riveting performance."
The Guardian

Playwright Terry Johnson’s first full-length new play in over ten years - the delightfully witty and poignant Prism - is now showing at Hampstead Theatre, starring our amazing ROBERT LINDSAY as double Oscar-winning cinematic master Jack Cardiff; ‘the man who made women look beautiful’.

Based on the extraordinary life of the legendary cinematographer, Prism portrays an older Cardiff having retired to the sleepy village of Denham, Buckinghamshire. His days of hard work and play – on some of the most famous sets in the world are now long behind him, as are his secret liaisons with some of the most famous women in the world. Surrounded by memorabilia from a lifetime of ‘painting with light’, Cardiff looks back over his life from Alzheimer’s-affected old age in a play described by The Stage as "beautifully lyrical".

Our double Olivier Award winner Robert returns to Hampstead for the first time in 35 years and has been receiving rave reviews for his moving performance.

Prism runs at Hampstead Theatre until 14 October. Watch the trailer/interviews below and don't miss your chance to see this beautiful play on stage. Get your tickets here.
