Two hit shows have returned to our television screens this week, starring SHAUN EVANS and SEAN PERTWEE in leading roles.

The first - Inspector Morse prequel and gripping crime drama Endeavour - made a very welcome return for its third series and is currently airing on Sundays at 8pm on ITV, starring SHAUN EVANS in the titular role.

Series 3 features four new episodes (two of which have already aired) and sees the young Morse facing his toughest case yet. Set in 1967, the show has been described by series creator Russell Lewis as “a psychedelic Summer of Love fairground ride, filled with twists and turns, shrieks and scares”.

Also back this week is Batman origin story Gotham, which returns for its second season, with the extended title Gotham: Rise Of The VillainsSEAN PERTWEE stars in the show as Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce Wayne's loyal and trusted butler.

In the first episode of the season, we saw the future 'Penguin', Oswald Cobblepot, begin to style himself as the new King of Gotham.
