Shirley & Bronagh: Girls From The North Country

Girl From The North Country is a gut-wrenching, spellbinding new musical which soulfully brings to life the songs of Bob Dylan. It stars our wonderful SHIRLEY HENDERSON and BRONAGH GALLAGHER and after a sold-out run at London’s Old Vic theatre last year, the show has now transferred to the West End’s Noël Coward Theatre where it has been receiving more rave reviews from audiences and critics across the board.

Set in a guesthouse in Dylan’s home town of Duluth, Minnesota, Girl from the North Country tells the story of a group of lonely souls by using Dylan songs in unusual, soulful arrangements. Shirley plays guesthouse owner Nick’s (Ciarán Hinds) wife Elizabeth. Her early-onset dementia leaves her depressed, yet in her moments of lucidity she is wild – almost feral. According to the Radio Times, "it’s a sad, funny and mesmerising performance."

Around Nick and Elizabeth roam and drift their guests, including Bronagh's Mrs. Burke, mother to a disabled son. Bronagh also plays drums in the show!

Check out the trailer and five star reviews below and don't miss Shirley and Bronagh in this glorious production, playing at the Noël Coward Theatre for a limited run of 12 weeks only. Tickets are selling like hot cakes so get yours quick!
