Jed Mercurio’s corrupt cop thriller Line of Duty is one of the most critically and commercially acclaimed British television dramas of the last ten years and it returns for its third series TONIGHT, starring our very own MARTIN COMPSTON and POLLY WALKER.

The show literally comes blasting back onto our screens this evening, all guns blazing, as the team from AC-12 are tasked with investigating a fatal shooting by an armed response unit, headed up by potentially corrupt police officer Sergeant Danny Waldron, played by Daniel Mays.

MARTIN returns again to his role as DS Steve Arnott, one of the three lead investigators from AC-12, alongside other returning characters DC Kate Fleming (played by Vicky McClure) and Superintendent Ted Hastings (Adrian Dunbar). POLLY appears for the first time this year as new character Gill Biggeloe, a civilian lawyer with a very sharp mind, tasked with keeping AC-12's investigations legal and ethical.

Tune in TONIGHT at 9pm on BBC Two for what is set to be another thrilling series packed full of exciting action and plot twists. To get you ready, check out the 12-minute 'Story So Far' catch-up video on iPlayer, and watch the series trailer below:
